OBJECTIVE

The International Music Busisness Research Association (IMBRA) aims to win and mediate the latest findings of scientific research on the structures and processes in the music business/industry. The music business in its broadest sense includes not only the core of the production, distribution and reception of music, but also all levels of music training and teaching as well as supporting industries, such as music instrument manufacturing, media, advertising, etc.

 

 

 

TASKS

The research and teaching approach is interdisciplinary and characterized by methodological diversity. Specifically, we want to bring together scholars from all disciplines and interested practioners at the International Music Business Research Days every year in order to present their findings and exchange ideas about it. Further the IMBRA is the editor of the International Journal of Music Business Research (IJMBR), in which the current state of music business/industry research is presented and discussed.
