Introducing our guests: Emilien Moyon, Program Director at Berklee College of Music Valencia

The 5th Vienna Music Business Research Days will be held at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna from Oct 1-3, 2014.  A mixed group of music business professionals and music business researcher will highlight the question on “How to Monetize Music in the Digital Age” from different perspectives. All conference guest that will present/discuss on Oct 2, 2014 in Joseph Haydn-Hall will be introduced in a short blog series.

Emilien Moyon, Director of the Global Entertainment and Music Business Program at Berklee College of Music, Valencia will open the Vienna Music Business Research Days 2014 with a talk on “Business Model Innovation in the Recording Industry” on Oct 2 from 09:15-10:00 in Joseph Haydn-Hall.

Emilien Moyon is Associate Professor and specialized in Business Model Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy (http://valencia.berklee.edu/academic-programs/faculty/emilien-moyon/)

He holds a PhD in Strategy for which he received the 2012 award for the best PhD dissertation in France. His research focuses on the business model innovation process. His academic work was published in top academic journals such as International Studies of Management and Organization or Management International and presented to international conferences. Dr. Moyon is also a co-founder of the Business Model Community, an academic community involving more than 250 researchers worldwide.

To share the results of his research to practitioners in the music industry, Emilien Moyon co-organizes Rethink Music which was created to explore and understand the changing dynamics of the music and creative industries.

Emilien Moyon is also the founder and director of TEDxBerkleeValencia (http://tedxberkleevalencia.com).
